Vilma
Abbot - Word of Life Peru
Dear Friends,
Greetings
from Costa Rica. It is a blessing to
share with your once again, of course I wish it could be in person, but for
now the Lord knows when. I am sorry
because my last letter was in December.
I did not get the chance before to share with you about my
ministry. I hope this letter finds you
well and under God’s hand of blessing.
It
has been a wonderful year, full of changes.
We have a new director in Word of Life Costa Rica. It has been a great change for me, Eddy
Vidaechea was the director for about 20 years, so after prayer God confirm my
decision and my desire to continue in Word of Life. We still arrange a lot of things, knowing
the director and his family Steve, Marissol, Jessica, Amanda and Melissa
Theis. They are a wonderful family;
they are God’s provision for our ministry.
They love the Lord; they love the country, so we know that God will do
amazing things. For now they are
learning a new language, a new culture, pray for them and for us too.
So
for that I have been out of my normal ministry rhythm and now is like to
begin again. Please pray for this,
sometimes there are things that happen that we don’t understand. But we have been studying a verse that
says, “Be not weary in well doing for in due season we shall reap if we faint
not…” sometimes we want to faint and as we studied, the tiredness is real, is
reasonable, but also is removable. We
can get tired, but not faint, we should not lose our strength, valor and
enthusiasm. We need to believe in
God’s justice, in that a pleasant life in front of him brings rest, we need
to believe in a life of service, in God’s promises, in His miracles and a separated
life of holiness.
Pray
for new girls for discipling, and for Rebecca, who is at the Bible Institute
in Argentina, I praise God for what He is doing in her life and for her
growth and personal decisions made.
She does not have finances for her next year, but we trust that if God
wants her to take her third year classes He will provide.
PRAYER REQUESTS:
Please continue to pray for my
youngest brother and for his wife’s salvation.
For our director and his wife, Steve
and Marissol Theis, for wisdom as they guide the ministry.
For a fellow missionary’s health,
her name is Laura Aguilar.
To be able to realize when I am
getting tired and keep my eyes where they belong.
Financial support.
Thank
you once again for your attention to this, for your prayers, for your support
and your offerings. Thank you for
being a part of my life through these things.
With
Love,
By
God’s grace,
Vilma
