Dear Friends,

We rejoice in the Lord for His great love to us through Calvary and are looking forward to the work the Lord has set before us in this new year!

Recently, Karl was honored by the 1/13th Battalion in being given The Order of St. Michael award by the Battalion Commander, at the conclusion of an A.I.T. graduation, for his “outstanding contributions to the community of Army Aviation.”  We were both surprised and humbled in receiving this very special recognition from the Army Aviation Association.

Thank you for praying concerning our pre-Christmas program.  Over 40 soldiers enjoyed a delicious turkey dinner and home-made cookies and cakes provided by ladies from PWOC (Protestant Women of the Chapel).  At the conclusion of our program, five young soldiers gave their hearts to Christ!

We also want to thank those of you who helped with our 2007 deficit which was over $5000.00  The Lord blessed abundantly in not only eliminating that deficit, but in providing the funds for the van and building insurance as well which was due in January!  How we praise Him for that very specific answer to prayer!

Our last group of International students was from Paraguay.  The students on graduation day presented us with a photo remembrance of their time spent with us.  God brought two individuals our way, Eddie Pinero and Ruth Gonzalez, who have been a tremendous help in interpreting for Karl with the International students.  Please continue to pray with us that we will reach many more in 2008.

It was also a blessing to have close to 50 at the Center for a Super Bowl chili party with opportunity to share the Word at half time.  The soldiers had a great time of relaxation in a home-like atmosphere and cheering on their favorite team!

In addition to her regular responsibilities, Gladys has been busy leading a Bible study on Revelation at PWOC on Tuesday mornings which has been quite challenging.  She has also been listening to second graders read at one of our local schools one morning a week.  Since she loves to read, it is a special joy to help little ones in their reading.

Thank you for your prayers and support for the Military Christian Center.

                                                                              Christian love,

                                                                              Karl & Gladys Volz
