Article II
Purpose
- The primary purpose of Church of the Living Christ of Loysville is: to honor God through public worship, and thereby give glory to Him; to proclaim to all people tile gospel of Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, as set forth in the Bible, God's divinely inspired Word, and doing this in harmony with the Great Commission given us in Matthew 28: 18-20; to edify each other, as we use our spiritual gifts; to engage in good works as expressive of our gratitude to God for His saving grace to us; to reach out in ministry to the world of mankind through missionary endeavor, evangelism, and such other means as may be deemed appropriate and permissible by the Word of God; and the church shall have the power to conduct any other lawful business for which corporations may be incorporated under the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Nonprofit Corporation Law except that no activities will be conducted that are not permitted to be carried on by an : organization exempt under 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue 1 code of 1954, as amended.
- It is the purpose of this church also to forever remain an independent and self-governing organization, adhering to the fundamental and pre-millennial doctrines of the Christian faith as set forth in the Holy Bible, and as defined in the "Articles of Faith" contained herein.
- The church is incorporated under the provisions of Article B of the "Nonprofit Corporation Law of 1972," Act No. 271 and does not contemplate any pecuniary gain or profit, incidental or otherwise, to its members.
- The provisions of this Article II shall not be amended.
