The Purpose of the Church of the Living Christ Youth Group is to Glorify God and produce spiritually mature young men and women by equipping them to:

  • Be personally devoted to the Lord by learning, reading, and applying God’s Word to their lives daily.
  • Be regularly involved in a local church, fellowshipping, serving, and using their talents as service to the Body.
  • Be committed to the evangelism and discipleship of others.

Youth Group is for both Jr. High (7th-9th grade) and Sr. high (10th-12th grade) teens. We have purposely designed a youth ministry where they will not only have fun, but will grow in Biblical character and spiritual maturity in the process. We strive to set up an environment in which teenagers feel acceptance and love, and have a team of adults to turn to. The Youth Group consists of of Biblical and relevant youth lessons, an active small group ministry, in-depth Bible teaching, mission and service focused activities, and many fun and fellowship activities.

Youth Group Meetings

Youth Meetings begin with a time of games, teen-lead worship, and a large group lesson before splitting into small groups. Small groups are gender and age specific, and focus on prayer and accountability.

Wednesday Night Bible Studies

The 7th-9th graders participate in many topical studies in the Christian life throughout the year, while the 10th-12th graders rotate through a 3-year curriculum formulated by our own youth leaders including Church History, Apologetics, and Hermeneutics.

Youth Missions Program

Encouraging teen involvement in various aspects of missions is a critical part of the Youth Ministry at CLC. Each year the 7th-9th graders participate in either a 3-day Service Trip to various Central PA ministry organizations or a 3-day trip to Ethanos360’s Wayumi Camp in Jersey Shore, PA to learn about foreign missions. The 10th-12th grade mission trip program is a 3-year rotation including a Missions Education Trip, Evangelism Trip, and a Cross-Cultural Mission Trip. All of these opportunities seek to instill in the teens a heart for serving others and taking the gospel to those around them in an age-appropriate way.
