From the Director’s Desk:
By the time you receive this newsletter Thanksgiving will be over. However, we are still thankful for you. May your heart be filled with gladness and your home be filled with joy during this Christmas season. At this time of year, we give thanks for loyal friends like you. Your support and patronage have helped make this year a success.
I am still floating in the clouds after hearing Abby Johnson speak at our banquet on November 12th. Abby just found out on this road trip of 12 speaking engagements that she is with child. She is so excited. Please keep Abby and her family in your prayers during this special time in their lives. The “aha” moment for me during Abby’s speech was when she said she was prayed out of Planned Parenthood. Yes, the unfathomable power of prayer! Those faithful faithful, patient kind volunteers for 40 Days for Life prayed every day when Abby went to work. Her family and friends prayed. Yes, prayer changes things. The case of Abby’s books sold out in no time and she autographed each one. A big thank you to all of you who helped promote this banquet in order to make it the best ever.
We have 7,000 Sanctity of Human Life bulletin inserts ready to be distributed to area churches. A big “thank you” to all my faithful volunteers who helped sticker them. Let us pray that we will see each new life, from the very beginning, as a beautiful tapestry woven together by our loving Father. Psalm 139:14 “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.”
I would like to say a special thank you to Amy Wagner, who has graciously volunteered as our newsletter editor for many years. She has done an excellent job. She is a teacher at Newport High School, editor of the Yearbook, wife of Kristofer, mother of three children, and at this stage in her life needs a breather from our quarterly newsletter. Yes, Amy, we understand fully and wish you well as you tackle some new challenges. Thank you again for an outstanding job…you are so creative. God has blessed you with much talent.
“Oh give thanks to the Lord, for He is Good.” 1 Chronicles 16:34. Perhaps we can remember this verse as we navigate through Thanksgiving and Christmas. Happy 2012 to all our faithful friends of this ministry.
Sincerely,
Susan Spriggle, Director
