"Beyond These Walls"

Date: Wednesday, October 12 through Sunday, October 16, 2011

Keynote Speaker: Conference will begin with the Wednesday evening service.  Speaker will be Dr. Ed Scheuerman. Dr. Ed Scheuerman is the Director of the Intercultural Studies Department at Lancaster Bible College.  Prior to accepting this position,  he and his wife Carol served with Pioneers for over 25 years in a variety of mission fields.  Ed's most recent responsibilities with Pioneers included serving as Area Director for Mainland Southeast Asia.  Ed and Carol have 4 daughters, all with international missions experience.

Other Speakers:

• Don Richardson - Internationally known speaker and author of “Peace Child - An Unforgettable Story of Primitive Jungle Treachery in the 20th Century,” a well-known and much respected book on the life of missionaries will be speaking Thursday (13th) and Friday (14th) nights. Do not miss this man as he speaks about his experiences from his long missionary life. Considered an elder-statesman and an authority on the field of missions.
• Dr. Jack Layman– Currently instructing at Columbia International Iniversity where he has been a professor for 28 years. Previolusly he was Headmaster for Ben Lippen School, a boarding school specializing in educating children of missionaries. He and his wife served as missionaries to Kenya for 10 years. Dr Layman will be speaking Saturday (15^th) night and Sunday (16^th) morning.
• Dwight McGuire - will be speaking on the Islam faith and the Christian approach to this religion
• Mark & Carman Egolf - MIssionaries to Mexico will be presenting their ministry Saturday evening
• Erin Seppanen - CLC's own missionary candidating with Pioneers will be presenting her ministry

Music: Mark and Becky McMillen from Baltimore will be leading worship during the conference along with Neil & Kilah Hertzler from CLC.

Support Pioneers' Missionaries:  "Heartcraft" will have a display throughout the conference.  Heartcraft provides an opportunity to purchase handcrafted jewelry, cards, needlework, clothes, etc. from areas where Pioneers missionaries are working.  The money from these items is returned to the native people to help provide a living to them.

Children Services: Bill and Karen Salisbury, from Lynchburg, VA, will be leading special children's activities during the missions’ conference.  They bring a special understanding and skill in working with children, and an exciting ministry communicating missions’ truths to children.
